Welcome to Little 7 Sparkle

Hello! I am Nana, was born and raised in Osaka, Japan and living in Yamaguchi prefecture.

I am photographer, especially into taking pictures of food. I started to keep uploading my food photography and original recipes here since I moved in Vancouver, I've had so many experiences about multicultural food, restaurants, cooking, organic produces, and ayurvedic diet. Vancouver, such a cool cosmopolitan foodie city!

I am going to experiment fusion food with Japanese ingredients, such as Tofu, Rice, Kombu, Seaweed, Miso, and Sake. Also, I like to try rare produces and food in Japan, such as swiss chard, beet, bulgur wheat, polenta, and lots of spices.

I'd love to share my idea with everyone, let's try to taste!

カナダのバンクーバーへ滞在中、元々好きだった料理にさらにのめり込みました。同時に料理の写真も撮るようになり、little 7 sparkleを始めました。バンクーバーではあちこちで世界各地の味や食材が楽しめます。さすが移民の街、どこの国のレストランも、その国の人がやっているお店はレベルが高い。気候も温暖でフレッシュな野菜や果物がマーケットや八百屋さんに並びます。そしてオーガニックコンシャス、ベジタリアン、ビーガンなどが多いのもバンクーバーの特徴。現在は日本へ帰国し、大阪で暮らしていますが、これからも昆布や大豆製品など、日本の食材と海外の食材を組み合わせた料理を紹介していければな、と思っています。それと同時に、スイスチャードやビーツ、ブルガー小麦、ポレンタ、様々なスパイスなど、日本では珍しい食材にもチャレンジしています。よかったら、一度お味見してください:)

そして、バンクーバー滞在中に友人Sarahと作成していたクックブックが完成しました！こちらは世界中からの伝統的なレシピに＋αのアイデアで、誰にでも作りやすいワールドワイドなクックブックとなっています。主人公のネコのカタちゃんがそれぞれの国の友だちに出会って、料理をマスターしていくというストーリー仕立てになっていますので、お子さんのプレゼントにもピッタリです。英語版と日本語版があるので、英語のレシピでつくってみたい、という方には英語版をおすすめします。
